Gaël Faye is a French-Rwandan singer-songwriter and writer, known for blending rap, chanson, and literature. He began his musical career with the group Milk Coffee & Sugar, later launching his solo work with the album "Pili Pili sur un croissant au beurre" in 2013. His debut novel, "Petit pays," published in 2016, won the Prix Goncourt des lycéens and was adapted into a film. In 2024, he released "Jacaranda," a critically acclaimed novel that won the Prix Renaudot. Gaël Faye continues to explore themes of exile, identity, and memory through his music and writings.
