Bernard Werber is a French writer best known for his Ants trilogy, which achieved international success. His work, translated into about thirty languages, blends science fiction, philosophy, and spirituality—a genre he refers to as "philosophy-fiction." In addition to his literary career, he has directed films, written plays, and created comic books. His books have sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making him one of the most widely read French authors. In 2022, he was appointed Officer of the Arts and Letters.
